This is a courtyard style patio that we installed in Broomfield.
This particular house had terrible backyard drainage and a broken up concrete patio so we removed the existing concrete, re graded/compacted around the foundation, waterproofed and sealed, then build the raised patio.
These are oversized Belgarde pavers with universal retaining wall block walls
We installed low profile accent lights under the stone cap and built in the posts/caissons for the future overhead cover
This is a landscape that we installed in Todd Creek. It was a lot that was approx. 1 acre and included lawn, berms, trees/plantings, hydroseeding native grass, 15 zones of irrigation, drainage ditch with boulders and creek bed.
At the time these pictures were taken, the landscape was 2 years old, so the plants were beginning to fill out nicely
This is a natural strip stone wall that we installed in Denver. Many of the front yards in the neighborhood required steps and retaining walls along the sidewalk because of the elevation change.
We used a natural buff stone that was dry stacked
This was a new construction house in Brighton. We installed the backyard landscaping, which included grading, installation of a dry creek bed, breeze pathway with flagstone steppers, and a gate
We constructed a retaining wall at an industrial yard in Brighton. The main parking area was previously leveled by excavating the hillside, but they were experiencing erosion and washout from the hillside where they dug in. As part of the project, we added a large HDPE drain and re-worked the existing drainage swale from the upper part of the property to handle the stormwater and prevent damage to the new wall.
We re-constructed a walkway on the side of the house by removing a bunch of existing railroad tie steps, and installing a Pavestone path and step to the garage
This was a project that we did for a church in Englewood. They church was experiencing flooding and water damage due to improper grading and runoff from stormwater.
We installed side by side drain pipes to handle the large volume of water and re-graded the lot to ensure proper drainage.
This is a paver patio that we installed in Broomfield. It was constructed with Venetian Pavers and the seating wall was capped with Pavestone retaining wall cap
This is a 14'x24' Trex Deck with a Pergola.
The deck was constructed using Trex Decking, which is laid at a 45 degree angle to the house.
The pergola is built entirely with oversized, rough cut cedar. The posts are 6x6 rough cut, and notched to fit perfectly into the corners of the deck, as well as the rail. The overhead joists are 2x10 rough cut cedar with decorative tails, and sit into a notched "Double Header" on the front side.
This is a redwood deck that we built in the backyard. There was an existing patio and redwood deck (the darker wood that you see) that was finished previously that we had to match up to.
We used Redwood "Heart" wood, which is a premium lumber that comes from the center of the tree. It has an extremely rich red color, and lasts longer than typical construction grade redwood. After construction, it was sealed with a clear waterproofing sealant.
This raised planter was constructed with straight faced retaining wall block and matching cap.
We expanded the drip system line to run into the planter so that the homeowners could easily water it.
By comparing the before/after pictures, you can see what a big difference the planter makes!
The old retaining wall was being pushed out and failing because of the bushes and trees that were growing on top of the wall. The roots were causing the wall the bulge, and it was failing further because of water damage.
We rebuilt the wall using the existing granite boulders, removed the old trees/bushes, and planted new trees, bushes, and flowers on top of the wall and around the perimeter of the yard. It turned out great!
We installed scalloped red block as edging for the mulched areas. We then added red mulch and a white granite pathway, which created a striking contrast of colors.
This is a huge pond for a residential neighborhood. It is about 18' in diameter and 3' in depth. We installed large Arizona Buff flagstone as a border on the frontside, and used moss rock to construct the raised back wall.
There are a total of 3 waterfalls -2 on the wall, and 1 which spills over a large moss boulder on the left. Altogether, there is about 3400 gallons per hour of water flow.
Dont you love the flowering lily pads and established plants?
These matching retaining walls/planters were parts of a larger landscaping project that we did. (The rest of the project included sprinkler system, sod, and decorative rock).
The backyard wall is about 18" high and was filled with natural bark mulch and flowers.
The frontyard planter was a low profile planter that matched the height of the existing patio.
We installed flagstone steps and landing here in this backyard landscape. The natural stone gives it a bold look and it really stands out amongst the other houses that back up to the golf course.
For this project, we removed a bunch of old dying junipers that were growing around the house. We then built up the retaining wall and planter in its place.
There was water issues in the basement as well due to poor drainage from the downspouts. To eliminate the issue, we directed water away from the foundation by tying the downspouts into the drain that was installed behind the wall. Problem Solved.
In addition to construction and installation services, we offer landscape design services as well.
We can provide you with a full color 3D rendering of your landscape design that will help you visualize the end project. It is a really good way to compare various materials and designs to make sure that you end up with the yard of your dreams.
For this project, we tore of the old landscaping. There was an old pond/stream that ran along the back of the yard (pictured), tons of rocks, boulders, and weeds.
We installed a raised and contoured berm thatm complimented a gazeebo for entertaining. Notice the grass walkway that runs between the gazeebo and berm. It is bordered with decorative concrete curbing. The really cool thing that, unfortunately, you can't see, it that the curbing has LED accent lighting built in for night.
We started this project with the goal of creating the ultimate yard for entertaining. We began with a border of black rubber mulch. The edging is a light colored natural stone that matches the stone on the putting green. Don't you love the contrast in color?
We then installed a high quality synthetic turf and 250 square foot putting green.
The "Forever Wet" look of the rock helps add to the contemporary styling and design. You can't keep the neighbors away with a yard like this!
We built a raised planting bed and retaining wall in the backyard. It created a stunning focal point with the aspen trees and rock.
This was a full landscape, front and back. The yard was overrun with weeds, had large sunken holes, and numerous concrete paths. We scraped/excavated/graded the yard, installed new sod and mulch borders all the way around, and put in cobblestones on the streetside median.
Originally, this was a railroad tie retaining wall. The wall had rotted and was failing.
We rebuilt the wall using Pavestone retaining wall blocks. The color is Winter Blend. Notice how there are multiple colors blended into the wall, which gives it a very unique look.
It was 95' in length by 51" high at it's peak. The staircase was built with matching wall block and the steps were cut out of colorado red flagstone. The wall went from strictly functional, to a true focal point of the yard.
